Thanks Mr. Garbage man!

We have the best garbage man EVER! On Tuesday mornings a strange little excitement fills the air..what is you ask..well its knowing that soon our wonderfully sweet garbage man will be coming down the street! When Harper hears the truck starting to come down the street she runs to the front door and claps and sequels! This ooh so very kind man always looks at the door to see if she is there and then he waves and does all kinds of neat little tricks with the arm on the truck that picks up the can. I don't know who this man is but I think it is so sweet how every week he takes a few minutes out of his day to entertain one very happy little girl!

CHD Awareness Week!

February 7-14 is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness! I could never have imagined that it would be so important to me BUT the day after our sweet baby was born we found out she had a hole in her that that would need to be repaired.I can not tell you how hard it was to hear and to comprehend what was about to happen to this miracle that we had waited and worked so hard to get here, was now going to have to go through open heart surgery! The course of the next few weeks we had weekly visits to the Cardiologist until the day came when he told us she was going to have the surgery the next week.It was hard and emotional.My daughter will forever be MY hero, she was so strong and so very brave at only 6 weeks old..she was amazing through it all.I feel so blessed that her defect was corrected with only 1 surgery,we meet so many families that faced much more then I can even imagine!My child is healthy today and we are so lucky.Other families are not so lucky,my thoughts and prayers go out to them daily when I thank GOD for my daughter with an AMAZING heart!
